Hard seltzer cocktails

We’re obviously biased but we think hard seltzers are pretty great. Not only are they healthier and delicious, they can also be used as a mixer to make some banging cocktails. We’ve played around with our cans to create some amazing mixes that are still simple and easy. If you’re looking to try something different or want to impress some guests, we’ve got you covered.

For these cocktails we’ve used our own hard seltzers, but of course feel free to use your personal favourite.

Arrowtown hard seltzer margarita cocktail

Margarita

Tequila might not be the answer, but it’s worth a shot…

Ingredients: 50ml tequila, 25ml triple sec (we used Cointreau), fresh lime and lime hard seltzer

Step 1: Add a handful of ice into a cocktail shaker, along with the tequila and triple sec. Then squeeze in a fresh lime for that sharp citrus hit.

Step 2: Shake it up.

Step 3: Pour into the glass and top with lime hard seltzer. Garnish with a wedge of lime and you’ve got a classy cocktail to impress with. Be warned, it packs a punch.

Berry Daquiri

The easiest way to get some of your five a day

Ingredients: 50ml vodka, frozen berries and a berry hard seltzer of your choice

Step 1: Put two handfuls of frozen berries into a blender. Add the vodka and 150ml of berry hard seltzer.

Step 2: Blitz through until you’ve got a smooth consistency. Pour into a glass and enjoy. If, like me, you’ve got a sweet tooth you can top with whipped cream for that final touch.

Arrowtown hard seltzer mojito cocktail

Mojito

A fresh take on an old classic

Ingredients: 50ml white rum, fresh mint, lime, lime hard seltzer and crushed ice

Step 1: Chop your lime and mint, before adding to the glass. Give this a good mix to release the fresh juices. Top with crushed ice.

Step 2: Pour over the rum and top with lime hard seltzer. Stir through and garnish with mint leaves for a bit of panache.

Dirty Shirley

Get down down and dirty with this fruity number

Ingredients: 25ml vodka, 12ml grenadine, fresh strawberries and raspberries, and a berry hard seltzer

Step 1: Fill half a glass with ice and add the vodka and grenadine. Throw in some fresh raspberries and strawberries.

Step 2: Top the glass with a berry hard seltzer of your choice and garnish to serve. Lovely.

Tom Collins

Step aside G&T

Ingredients: 50ml gin, 25ml sugar syrup, fresh lemon and a lime/lemon hard seltzer

Step 1: Pour the gin over ice and add the sugar syrup. Squeeze in fresh lemon juice.

Step 2: Top with your choice of citrus hard seltzer, stir and garnish with a slice of lemon. This crisp and refreshing mix is perfect for those warmer days. Don’t let the simplicity fool you; this is as good as it gets.
